Entry, exit or passage prohibited (general sign)

When using this shipping sign for permanent one-way traffic at fixed bridges, the sign D.1b is placed on the side where passage is permitted. Prohibition sign A.1 can also be performed by means of two red fixed lights one above the other. The prohibition of passage for a certain category of ships is done with signs A.12 to A.20 and not by using A.1 with a bottom plate. The prohibition can also be indicated by means of a horizontal red-white-red striped cylinder placed on a buoy.

Our official shipping signs are produced from durable aluminum and provided with a double folded edge to reinforce the shipping sign. The double folded edge is also used for mounting the shipping sign to poles or light poles. For good night visibility, we provide the shipping signs with retro-reflective film class II or III. Our shipping signs are provided with CE marking

The shipping sign A.1 is executed in accordance with the guidelines for Traffic Signs Shipping (BPR), established by the Ministry of Transport, Public Works and Water Management.
